Violet Maciejewski


Funeral services for Violet Maciejewski, 86, of Timber Lake were held Aug. 14, 2012 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge.
Violet died Aug. 8  at the Good Samaritan Society Center in Selby.
She was born May 3, 1926 on the ranch home of her parents, Carl and Clara (Njos) TePoel, southwest of Isabel.
She graduated from Mobridge High School in 1944.
Violet attended Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen and taught in Ziebach and Dewey counties. She was also a stenographer for the Dewey County Extension Agent.
On May 17, 1947 she married John Maciejewski at Custer. They made their home farming and ranching at Timber Lake.
Violet is survived by two sons, Lyle (Charlene) of Savannah, GA and Edward (Mary Jo) Maciejewski of Timber Lake; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jule Eidam of Gettysburg, Charlotte Goldade of Mobridge, Marie Ozanne of Glendale, AZ and Carol (Tom) Warborg of Port Orchard, WA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
