City-wide clean-up next week
Gettysburg residents can get a jump on their fall cleaning next week.
A city-wide clean up will start at 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 24 and continue through Friday, Sept. 28.
Household items that need to be taken to the trash can be left on the curb by 8 a.m. each morning, and the city’s clean-up crew will make the rounds to haul items away to the rubble site.
Tree branches may also be left on the curb for clean-up. Refrigerators and air conditioners must have the freon removed and be tagged before they will be accepted. Also, no asphalt shingles, concrete, demolition debris, tires, or ag related products will be taken to the rubble site.
If persons have difficulty in getting items to the Rubble Site they should call 765-2264 for assistance.
The Rubble Site will be open Monday, through Friday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., weather permitting, during clean up week. If you have any questions, call the City Finance Office at 765-2264.
