Halloween fun starts Friday
Friday, Oct. 26 will kick off the Halloween weekend in Gettysburg.
The fun starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday night when the doors open on the annual Chamber of Commerce Haunted House. The haunted tours run both Friday and Saturday until 11 p.m. The house boasts several new frights, so don’t miss the fun! Be sure to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the local food pantry to get a dollar off admission.
Saturday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. a costume party and carnival will be hosted by the GIA for children ages sixth grade and younger at the city auditorium. There are lots of fun games and prizes for the kids.
On Wednesday, Oct. 31, children ages fifth grade and younger are invited to the Oahe Manor dining room from 4-6 to show off costumes and receive a goodie bag.
Remember to drive carefully and watch for children!
