Carpenter and May concert performed Monday, Nov. 12
Gettysburg is hosting professional performers from across the nation as part of the newly formed High Plains Concert Series.
The second of the season performances is Monday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 at the Legion Building with Carpenter and May, who will come to town with their blend of “roots” music, picking everything from bluegrass to jazz. Between them, they have earned a Grammy nomination and played on the road with country stars George Strait, Eddie Rabbitt, and Barbara Mandrell.
The concert series has been organized through the combined forces of the High Plains Arts Council and the Gettysburg Chamber of Commerce. Concert series members in Gettysburg have reciprocity with Pierre concerts, which offer more presentations throughout the season.
Season membership tickets will be sold at the door and are available by contacting the Chamber office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 765-2528, or stop by the News office downtown.
The spring show will feature the male acappela group Home Free Vocal Band on April 27.
