Winter weather contributed to rollover accident Friday morning
Emergency crews were called around 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9 to a one vehicle rollover.
A 1999 Chevy pickup driven by Andrew Johnson, 23, of Gettysburg, was headed east when it rolled into the ditch about four miles east of Lebanon on US Hwy 212.
According to Potter County Sheriff Curt Hamburger, icy roads and strong winds contributed to the accident and the driver was cited for over driving road conditions. Johnson refused medical treatment and it was estimated that the vehicle received approximately $10,000 in damage.
Trooper Chris Goldsmith of the SD Highway Patrol investigated the accident. Also responding were the Potter County Sheriff, Gettysburg Fire and Rescue, and Gettysburg EMTs.
