Arlo R. Sporer


Arlo R. Sporer died Dec. 2, 2012 in Colby, KS. Services were held in Oakley, KS.
Arlo was born Aug. 30, 1934 in Seneca, SD, and was the founder of Sporer Land Development Co. in 1961, retiring from active management in 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Hillery Sporer, whom he married on June 14, 1953 in Russell Springs, KS. He is also survived by two daughters, Brenda Hubert and husband Greg, Tracee Sporer and husband Jim Davidson and two sons, Jay Sporer and wife Melanie, Troy Sporer and wife Lori all of Oakley.
He was preceded in death by Mike and Rilla Sporer, his parents and a brother Gerald (Joyce), and is survived by a brother Warren “Tiny” of Pierre, SD. Other survivors include eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Baalmann Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
