School Board held special meeting Jan. 23

The Gettysburg Board of Education held a special meeting in the multi-purpose room on the above date.  Present were the following:  Kay Schmidt, Kevin Geditz, Paul Kellogg, Brian Robbennolt and Kimberly Schweiss.  Absent:  Matt Cronin and Ryan Lake. Also present were Tim Hagedorn, Wendy Smith, Barb Everson, Dean Marske, Buffy King, and approximately 28 Gettysburg School district patrons.
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Board President Schmidt called the meeting to order at 6:34 PM.  Motion by Kellogg, second by Geditz to approve the agenda.  All present voted aye.  Motion carried.
Dean Marske and Buffy King from HKG Architects brought updated drawings and options for a new school. Toby Morris from Doughtery & Co presented tax impact estimates for the various plans.  A lengthy discussion was held. District patrons were urged to talk to their school board members and/or school administration with any questions or concerns they may have.
Motion by Schweiss, second by Kellogg to adjourn the meeting.  All present voted aye.  Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 PM.
