Town digging out from snow storm
It was estimated that around 10 inches of snow fell on Gettysburg over the Saturday/Sunday storm, but the high winds and big drifts made it look like lots more.
The city and county crews have been digging out streets and roadways. Truck loads of snow from the city are being hauled to the park. City Maintenance Supervisor Russ Anderson said that the community has been good about watching for the trucks and loaders which are working to clear the piles in the center of the streets.
Use caution when driving around the snow piles and watch for the snow removal equipment.
