Battler basketball team finishes perfect season

Share

The Mighty Potter County Battler basketball team finished the season 19-0 on Monday night in Onida, defeating the Sully Buttes Chargers by a score of 54-48.
The Yellowstone Trail Conference game left the Battlers undefeated as they head into the district tournament which begins Monday, Feb. 25 in Ipswich.
Coached by Bryce Hall, the team has had to do some schedule juggling this year with winter weather having an impact on travel to games, but the timing didn’t hurt the team at all. On Feb. 11 they defeated Edmunds Central 71-37, on Feb. 14 the score was 75-68 over Ipswich, and the next night they defeated Highmore 63-31.
The JV team is having a fun season, too, also going into Monday’s game undefeated.
