In remembrance…

DSC_0173 bryanBrian Siedschlag paused for a moment in the shadow of the beautiful Avenue of Flags on Monday morning to read the Civil War veteran monument at the Potter County Courthouse. Siedschlag, who is a members of the American Legion and VFW Honor Guard, was one of several volunteers who helped put up the flags on a misty, grey morning before the Memorial Day program held at the American Legion. The flags in the Avenue are the funeral flags from area veterans. The flag flown half mast on the main pole of the courthouse is from the veteran most recently lost in the community. This year the flag flown honored Bob Tennant.
