Community fireworks at car show June 29
An amazing fireworks display is being designed as a highlight of the annual Dakota Kruzer’s Car Show on Saturday, June 29.
The Gettysburg Chamber of Commerce is collecting funds to help make the annual fireworks display a big hit. The car show has become a major summer event, which also features free bouncers for the kids, a beer garden hosted by the fire department, and live music by “Portland Junction” both in the afternoon and again in the evening.
“The car show weekend has become one of the biggest draws we have to the community, plus it is a great time for friends and family from far and near to get together,” said Angelia Hiles, president of the Chamber. “It keeps growing each year and we think this is lining up to be the best one yet! And if you haven’st seen the fireworks display, this is your chance to see one of the best in South Dakota!”
The gala fireworks show, designed again this year by Michael Schlachter and his “pyrotechnic team,” will serve as the grand finale for the evening.
The fireworks display at the city park this year is funded entirely by donations. Any contributions made will add some sparkle to the event!
