Benefit scheduled for Jim Schneider on Aug. 10

A benefit is planned for Jim Schneider to help defray medical expenses.
Schneider has suffered from pulmonary fibrosis, also called “farmer’s lung,” since April 2010. In June he was the recipient of a double lung transplant in addition to a double heart bypass at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He and his wife, Ladonna, have been in Rochester since April preparing for and recovering from the surgery. His rehabilitation takes at least three months from the time of the surgery, followed by regular checkups at Mayo.
A benefit and silent auction will be held on Aug. 10 at the American Legion Community Building starting at 6 p.m.
Donations may be made to Jim for the silent auction by contacting American Legion manager Brandi Valentz at 769-0561 or 765-2854, Bruce Zebroski at 769-9280, or Shawna Shaw at 769-1892.
