Health Screen Week starts Sept. 23

If you have been putting off health tests, next week is a good time to get them done in Gettysburg.
The Avera Gettysburg Hospital and Rural Health Care, Inc. are having a Health Screen Week at the Community Care Clinic from Monday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Sept. 27. The hours for the tests run from 6:30 a.m. to noon.
Several different tests will be available which screen for coronary artery disease, thyroid function, prostate cancer, colon cancer, diabetes, and anemia.
The tests require an 8-10 hour fast before drawing blood, which means nothing to eat or drink prior to the test other than a small amount of water. Notification of test results will be available within a week, and no insurance will be filed, so payment is due at the time of the blood draw.
Stop at the clinic during the designated times. See inside for more details on the tests.
