Welcome, hunters! Pheasant season opens Saturday
Considered by many to be one of our biggest, although not official state holidays, the opening weekend of pheasant hunting season starts on Saturday at noon in South Dakota.
Even though reports insist that the bird numbers are down, visitors to Potter County can not only look forward to a terrific hunt, but businesses around the area have good food and fun available.
With an abundance of rain over the past couple weeks, conditions are the safest they have been in a long time as far as fire danger goes. However, much of the row crop is still standing, providing lots of cover which will force hunters to work for their birds this year.
