Concert series kicks off with Vocaldente on Sunday
Sunday, Nov. 17 the High Plains Concert Series will kick off the second season with a performance by the internationally acclaimed a cappella group from Germany, Vocaldente.
“Just watching clips of this vocal group will give you chills, so what a thrill to have them in Gettysburg to watch live!” said Sarah Larson, who is helping coordinate the concert series. “These five stunning voices emerged from the Hanover Boys Choir in Germany. The High Plains Concert Series is dedicated to bringing world class talent to our small town, and we all know the value of supporting local arts. Please consider buying a ticket and joining us for a beautiful evening!”
The program starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Legion Building. Season membership tickets for the concert series are available at the door or in advance by contacting the Chamber office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 765-2528, or stop by the News office or Houck Law Office downtown.
The concert series, now in its second year, has been organized through the combined forces of the High Plains Arts Council and the Gettysburg Chamber of Commerce. Concert series members in Gettysburg have reciprocity with Pierre and Redfield concerts, which offer more presentations throughout the season.
Vocaldente is a group who offer their blend of entertainment that has taken them throughout Europe and repeated tours of the USA, Hong Kong, Singapore, and South Korea. Now they are adding Gettysburg to the list where their prize-winning vocal artistry, great choreography, and humorous dialog will entertain audiences of all ages.
Other shows lined up for the Gettysburg concert series are “Everything Fitz” which is a family fiddle and step show on March 31, and “The Unexpected Surfer Boys” which is a tribute to the Beach Boys and Broadway on April 25.
