‘Home Free’ holiday concert Dec. 17
On Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 7:30 at the Legion Building, Home Free will present a Christmas concert.
The a cappella group of five men from Minnesota performed at Gettysburg in April as part of the concert series, and due to popular demand will return in December for a special holiday program.
The group entertains with five microphones and no instruments with their own blend of a cappella music, presented as a vocal band. That means they do more than sing; they recreate the entire band experience, with all the instrumental sounds being made by them.
They have been heard in shows all over the world and have taken a cappella in a direction that caters to every generation.
The group performed a holiday concert in Pierre last year which was attended by many from the Gettysburg area who are delighted that the concert will be in town this season. They are also one of 10 groups competing for a recording contract on the NBC show “The Sing Off.”
Tickets to the Home Free Christmas concert are available by contacting Bobby Jenner or school vocal instructor Jessica Larson. They are also available at Great Western Bank or at the door the night of the show.
