The Potter County Battlers put the defense to work and won the game against Herreid-Selby Area by a score of 45-42 in Yellowstone Trail Conference action last week at home on Jan. 21.
It was the first loss in 10 games for HSA, who came into the game with a first place rating in the last Class B poll.
The Battlers were behind by two in the fourth before Caleb Meinke scored five points to bring back the lead. He and Tanner Storer each had eight points during the game, and Chayce Hall led the scoring with 11.
