Everything Fitz to perform with concert series Monday
Monday, March 31 the High Plains Concert Series will host the second performance of the season presented by the high-energy fiddling and step dancing family from Canada, Everything Fitz.
The program starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Legion Building. Season membership tickets for the concert series are available at the door.
The concert series, now in its second year, has been organized through the combined forces of the High Plains Arts Council and the Gettysburg Chamber of Commerce. Concert series members in Gettysburg have reciprocity with Pierre and Redfield concerts, which offer more presentations throughout the season.
Everything Fitz is a family band featuring the high-energy fiddling and percussive step dancing of four of Canada’s finest young musicians. With roots in the Canadian old-time fiddle tradition and Ottawa Valley step dancing, their unique stage show combines a variety of musical styles including everything from traditional jigs and reels, bluegrass, jazz and swing standards, Celtic, gospel as well as novelty numbers and choreographed dance routines.
The family of champion fiddlers provide intricate 3-part fiddle harmonies as well as solo improvisations on fiddle, mandolin, and guitar. Additional instrumentation includes percussion along with accompaniment on piano and bass guitar. An audience favorite is their award-winning group step dancing.
These spirited young performers are noted for their polished performances and provide wholesome, captivating entertainment for a diverse audience. Everything Fitz has received glowing reviews from promoters, organizers and fans across Canada and the United States.

The final show in this year’s Gettysburg concert series is “The Unexpected Surfer Boys” which is a tribute to the Beach Boys and Broadway on April 25.
