Bonnie Wenzlaff, 62, of Humboldt died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls as the result of a stroke. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Friends and family may also meet at her burial on Thursday at the Gettysburg Cemetery at 1 p.m. followed by a gathering and lunch at the Masonic Temple in Gettysburg.
Bonnie Dutt was born on July 15, 1951 in Gettysburg, SD to Reinholdt and Norma (Stoner) Dutt. She was raised in the Gettysburg area where she graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1969. She then went on to Stewart’s School of Hair Design in Sioux Falls. On June 26, 1971 she married Walter Wenzlaff.
Bonnie was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Humboldt as well as the red hatters. She enjoyed knitting and sewing but her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and her dog, Mr. Big.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Justin (Casey) and Jesse (Pam) both of Humboldt and Amanda (Cody) Hoffman of Colton; her grandsons, Owen Wenzlaff and Bo Hoffman; her father, Reinholdt Dutt of Gettysburg; her sisters, Kathie Westphal and Lynette Dutt both of Gettysburg; and her nieces and nephew, Avery Dutt, Paige Wood, and Shaun Westphal. She was preceded in death by her mother.
