Share

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will hold an informational meeting for the public on Thursday, May 1 from 5:30 to 6:30 at the American Legion Community Building. The purpose is to discuss and give input on the project, which is planned for US 212 from west of the SDDOT maintenance shop to east of Nebraska Street, and will include urban grading, PCC surfacing, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer, and roadway lighting.
The proposal will also change the highway through town from a four lane to a three lane road with the purpose to provide more efficient access to streets, with only two driving lanes and a center turn lane.
Comments, questions, and concerns may be submitted to the DOT by Friday, Nov. 1. Contact Sonia Downs, SDDOT, 700 E. Broadway Ave., Pierre, SD 57501 or email Sonia.Downs@state.sd.us.
