William Shattuck of Pierre, SD was born Oct. 19, 1937 and died Jan. 20, 2012.

Bill Shattuck died unexpectedly of a brain hemorrhage.

He retired in 2003 from the Game Fish and Parks after working for 39 years.  He was known by most as a skilled hunter, talented dog trainer and enthusiastic nature conservationist.

After he retired his greatest joy was working for his good friends Keith and Lynda Krull as a dog trainer and hunting guide.

He leaves behind  his beloved wife Judy; sisters Phyllis Bryant of Gettysburg and Marilyn Swanson;  children Sandra Don, Michael, Karri McShannon, Bill, and Kelly: 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Keith and Lynda will be hosting a memorial service May 26 at 11 a.m. at the Krull Lodge.  As per Bill’s wishes he was cremated and his ashes scattered at Krull Ranch at the site where his beloved dog Heike drowned,  now they can hunt together forever.
