The Battlers had a great showing in the State Track meet in the Black Hills last weekend. The weather was cool and rainy during most of the meet, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of track star Jessika Wager. The recent GHS graduate brought home the state championship in both the pole vault and the 400 meter run. She is the daughter of Ed and Carma Wager. It was somewhat of a rollercoaster ride through the weekend as we had some things finish better than expected and some things finish worse than expected, said Coach Vern Smith.
