The funeral service for Bette Jean Sieber, 88, of Gettysburg and formerly of Columbia, was held July 9, 2012 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, with Pastor Craig Grams officiating.
Burial was at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen.
Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory in Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements.
Bette died July 5 at Oahe Manor in Gettysburg.
Bette Jean Ernst and her twin brother were born Aug. 21, 1923, in Aberdeen to Henry and Magdelina (Andrest) Ernst.
Bette married Ernest Wandry and later divorced. Bette was united in marriage to Vern Sieber. They lived on a farm before moving to Columbia in 1956. Bette became a resident of the Oahe Manor in Gettysburg.
She is survived by three sons, Bob (BelleRae) Sieber of Mina Lake, Bryan (Deb) Sieber of Sarasota, Fla., and Barry Sieber of Tomball, Texas; two daughters, Marsha (Dean) Daly of Aberdeen and Judy Sieber of Minneapolis, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Blaine Sieber; and her siblings.
