A Celebration of Life of Linda Van Well, 54, of Hoven was held Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Hoven American Legion Hall with the Rev. James Ruckman and Rev. Kevin Doyle officiating.
Linda died Tuesday, July 3, at her home after courageously battling cancer for two years.
Linda Stuwe, daughter of James “Jim” and Lorraine (Lesmeister) Stuwe was born Aug. 3, 1957 in Hoven, SD.  She attended St. Anthony grade school and graduated from Hoven High School at the salutatorian of the class of 1975.
She was united in marriage to Roy Van Well on Sept. 5, 1975 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hoven.  They made their home on the family farm near Hoven until 1984 when they moved southwest of town to the Van Well homestead.  Linda and Roy had three children together.  Linda worked at the Holy Infant Hospital for many years in the business office and as a nurse’s aide.  She became a fixture at Plains Commerce Bank in Hoven where she was employed until 2010.  She loved the people who she worked with and was proud to call them her friends.
Linda enjoyed following her children’s activities and loved to be busy outside.  The loves of her life were her six granddaughters and one grandson.  She cherished the time they got to spend together and spoiled them rotten.  Linda liked to cross stitch, play piano, sew, crochet, quilt, and clean.
Linda will be deeply missed by her husband, Roy, two daughters, Nicole (Chris) Stevens of Woodbury, MN and Jill (Bill) Geditz of Ipswich, SD, one son, Dustin Van Well of Hoven, one sister, Geralyn (Steve Klingman) Frost of Hoven, one brother, Rick (Vonnie) Stuwe of Pierre, SD, seven grandchildren, Ashlyn, Addison, Sheradyn, Colton, Harmony, Aspen and Jessica, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and four special pets, her dogs, Buddy, Bandit and Annie and her cat, Chico.
She was preceded in death by her parents, paternal grandparents, Ben and Theresa Stuwe, maternal grandparents, Pius and Anna Lesmeister and mother-in-law, Frances Bachman.
There was special music by Vonnie Reuer.
Carlsen Funeral Home and Crematory of Aberdeen has been entrusted with arrangements. www.carlsenfh.com
