Calcutta surprise…

Share

Bill Lehman, who has been the key organizer of the annual demolition derby at the Potter County Fair, got a surprise from some of his former students on Sunday afternoon. The men organized a surprise calcutta to help raise funds to assist in Lehman’s fight against cancer. The demo derby was won by Joe Lehman of Aberdeen, who is Bill’s brother. The calcutta raised over $5,000.  Each year, students in Bill’s ag classes helped to build a demolition derby car that was raffled as part of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life fundraiser. This year’s winner was Bryan Hause, who had Michael Jager drive it in the derby.
