Dorothy Harris
Dorothy Florence Harris, 90, of Othello, WA died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Othello Community Hsoptial.

Dorothy was born on July 3, 1918, in Gettysburg, SD to George Glen and Ora Lena (Welch) Shawgo.

She was raised and educated in Gettysburg, graduating from Gettysburg High School.

She married Victor Harris in Britton, SD in 1939.

In 1941, they moved to Puyallup where Victor worked in the shipyards. In 1958, they moved to Othello.

Dorothy was a homemaker and always enjoyed being with her family.

She was an avid card player, especially bridge and pinochle; she liked crocheting and made many doilies for friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Alice Fenske, and husband Victor.

She is survived by her daughters Marlene (Al) Widmer, of Lynwood, WA and Kaylene (Gerald) Mills, of Casa Grande, AZ; a sister Margaret Larrington of Gettysburg; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at the Stevens Funeral Chapel on March 9.
