Community Concert at Methodist Church Jan. 26

Around 35 people from churches all across the community have joined voices to make up a community choir and help raise funds for an area church construction project.
A concert will be held on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Gettysburg as a fundraiser for the Methodist Church Building project.
Gail Larson, who is director of the choir, said that the group has been rehearsing every Wednesday night through October and November, and will be working throughout the month of January to prepare for the program.
She said that the show will have much more than just gospel music. In addition to the choir, there will be presentations by a men’s group, a quartet, a trio, piano duets and solos, vocal solos, and some special instrumental and student presentations may also be included.
Larson said that what makes this program so special, aside from the wonderful music being made by the participants, is that representatives from all the churches in the area are working together to help the Methodist Building Fundraiser.
