REJECTION OF OLD
HWY 212 ABANDONMENT
Moved by Shellito, seconded by Williams to reject the abandonment of Old Hwy 212 from the State of South Dakota in Section 29-118-78 and request the State to abandon to the current land owners. All voting aye. Motion carried.
Craig Smith met to discuss several issues of concern to the County.
Janell DeBoer, Verizon Wireless, met to discuss “Push to Talk Service” which would take the place of the out dated two-way radios. The Commission instructed the Hwy Supt. to proceed with the service.
Connie Kiernan met to discuss an all weather road to the lagoon that services Lebanon Town. Lebanon Town will reimburse Potter County for the cost of the road. Supt. Smith estimated the cost to be approx. $8,000.00. The area will need to dry up before the road can be built.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
Merlin Schutterle met to request the assistance of Potter County in securing access to his land along the river. No action taken until the States Attorney can provide an opinion.
HIGHWAY FUEL QUOTES
Supt Smith presented the following fuel quotes for the month of June.

Moved by Maroney, seconded by Shellito to hire William Gibson as part-time highway maintenance worker @ $12.00 per hour. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Mayor Wuttke and Council Member Josh Bausch met to discuss the load limit restrictions placed on Court Street in the Spring. The truck traffic tends to use the City streets when the load limits are in place. If the load limits are taken off of Court Street the trucks will not use the City streets. No load limits will be place on Court Street in the future.
Deputy McClain met to present the monthly activity report. Code Red was also discussed.
Moved by Maroney, seconded by Arbach to approve the following applications for Retail (On-Off Sale) Malt Beverage and SD Farm Wine licenses. All voted aye. Motion carried.

A discussion was held concerning letting the Mosquito Spraying Contracts to the private sector instead of the County providing the service.

Moved by Maroney, seconded by Arbach to hire Barb Boke as part-time Library Janitor @$10.25 per hour. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Commissioner Arbach presented the following resolution and moved for its adoption.
A RESOLUTION APPROVING the Plat of Tract E, Cronin Addition, located in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (SE1/4SW1/4) of Section 24, T117N, R77W of the 5th P.M., Potter County, South Dakota as described and shown herein.

According to statute, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that the County Commission in and for the County of Potter, does hereby approve the said Plat of Tract E, Cronin Addition, located in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (SE1/4SW1/4) of Section 24, T117N, R77W of the 5th P.M., Potter County, South Dakota.
Commissioner Shellito seconded the foregoing resolution. All voted aye. Resolution declared adopted.
