Photo G14-05 (Delila Jager)crDelila Jager, age 89, of Gettysburg, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at the Avera Oahe Haven in Gettysburg.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 13 at Grace Bible Church, Gettysburg with Pastor Ken Cartlidge officiating. Burial will follow in the Gettysburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Luce Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Delila Rosa Cooper was born June 28, 1924 to Cleve and Emma (Shelly) Cooper in Onaka, SD. She grew up in the Lebanon area and spent the rest of her life in Gettysburg, SD.
On Aug. 3, 1942 she was united in marriage to Henry Jager.
Delila was a member of Grace Bible Church in Gettysburg.
She is survived by her children: Donald (Kathy) Jager, Missoula, MT, Sharlene (Joe) Beetsch, Gettysburg, Pansy (Bob) Kennedy, Sioux Falls and Joe (Billi) Jager, Sopchoppy, FL; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters: Viola Nold, San Antonio, TX, Gladys Frazier, Cartersville, GA and Dorathy Tobin, Gettysburg.
Delila was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers: Marvin, William and Thomas Cooper; sisters: Pansy Stephan and Agnes Cooper; and two infant grandsons: Donald and Matthew Joel Jager.
