Mighty Potter County Battlers smash Miller in season opener

The Potter County Battlers hit the road Friday night and came home with the first win of the season again the Miller Rustlers. The men finished with a score of 45-13, setting the pace for another great season of Battler football.
The team is again led this year by head coach Vern Smith, with assistants Bryce Hall, Brady Hartung, and Keith Scott.
This week the team heads to Onida to face the Sully Buttes Chargers with plans to move on their 1-0 season record. The Chargers also come into the game with the same record after their 60-8 win over Lower Brule last week.
Friday’s game is a Yellowstone Trail Conference bout. Kickoff in Onida is scheduled for 7 p.m. but if the heat is terrible, that could be pushed back. Check with the school if it is hot outside!
