The light in the tunnel

It is the beginning of the end for the Covid-19 virus as the first doses of the coronavirus vaccine were given to staff at the Avera Missouri River Health Center in Gettysburg last week. As front line workers and emergency service personnel stepped up to be vaccinated to start the process of stopping the spread of the virus, photos were taken to show just how easy it was to be a healthcare hero in the community. This picture shows Tausha Kraft, Director of Nursing at the hospital, giving one of the first doses of the vaccine to Katie Hagen, Activities Assistant at the Avera Oahe Manor.  The light at the end of what has been a long tunnel was evident in the eyes of both those giving and receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.
