Police searching for fugitive

The Gettysburg Police Department and the Potter County Sheriff’s Office are asking for help from the public to locate Tyler Alan Goodgion. It was reported on May 10 that Goodgion was in the Gettysburg region and was seen in the Whitlock Bay area. Prairie Quilters…

The Prairie Quilters (l to r) Lillian DeKnikker, Judy Miller, Joane Beringer, Maralee Shoup, Shar Eliason, and Jean Schmidtgall have nine Quilts of Valor to be presented to military veterans at the Memorial Day program in Gettysburg. Council position filled

After deliberation in executive session during the Monday night meeting, the Gettysburg city council appointed a representative to serve on the council from Ward 1. Seth Warner was appointed to serve on the council as the alderman from Ward 1.  He will be sworn in during the next month’s meeting.  -MMcR

Load limits off county roads

According to Potter County Commissioner Bill Frost, spring load limits are off the county roads.  The 40 mph speed limit remains in place on the roads for trucks. Anyone having questions about the county’s roads should contact county highway superintendent JD Long at 769-1011 or a county commissioner.

City clean-up next week

May 6-10 has be set as city clean-up week.  Items left on the boulevard will be picked up by the city crew. They will haul tree branches away at no charge, provided they are properly placed on the boulevards and cut into six foot lengths. Small tree twigs must be boxed and left on the curb.
